Deep wide-field CCD images have revealed two likely late-type galaxies about 20 arcmin away from Maffei 1. The brighter object may be a spiral, but the fainter is probably a dwarf irregular galaxy. The two objects are probably members of the IC 342-Maffei group of galaxies. © 1995 American Astronomical Society.en_US
