Abstract

This article explores youth empowerment initiatives designed to combat the spread of information disorder through a series of structured fact-checking training sessions. Three such sessions were held during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, organized in collaboration with student councils and press councils from two Indonesian universities. These initiatives primarily sought to strengthen participants' ability to navigate complex information environments, fostering resilience against misleading content while reinforcing essential analytical and evaluative skills in the face of the infodemic.
