A retired St. Cloud State University professor, Parson relates the life of his family on a homestead in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Parson’s grandfather, Pehr Pehrson, and his wife, Anna, and two young daughters emigrated from Sweden in 1869. They were among the first pioneers to settle in the wilderness of west-central Minnesota.en_US
